JUnivers is an open-source high modular Java framework. It uses connectors to access data in a standard way. Those data could then be used transparently in others modules to be, by example, rendered or updated in HTML or Swing layouts.

To develop three tiers web application, the J2EE module of JUnivers is fully integrated with Struts and Tiles. You can then easily combine the standard JUnivers functionalities with you own Struts actions.

With the JUnivers/Struts/Tiles combination, you can implement your web application as quickly as if you have used Micrsoft Access, Oracle Forms or Sybase Power Builder. You don't have to worry about requests parameters gathering, fields validation, SQL generation, Connection Pooling management, ... A part of your specific code, the only thing you'll have to do is to create your JUnivers project's XML dictionary.

JUnivers is not only a Java framework, but also a sophisticated concept which is the fruit of the work of more than five years of several actors.

The usage of JUnivers stabilise analyses and developments of E-Business projects thanks to a standard "Object" approach.

It results a real industrialization from  the process of development revealing a considerable rise of productivity all while maintaining quality of the product.

JUnivers has already been successfully tested or is used in production with the following technologies :

RDBMS Oracle, MS SQL Server, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, Pointbase
J2EE Containers Apache Tomcat, Oracle IAS, IBM Websphere
